Ukranian-based DWD Records releases this month’s bleepy Goto80 explosion, with remixes by Sky Pole and Qwertypak. Dark, vocal, fast, slow, harsh and a bit of pop! Great cover art provided by the fast data destruction duo known as Entter (in full size it looks even better). Download the full release here. And if you can’t get enough, buy my records at the excellent Rebel Pet Set and support the Swedish chip music scene!

Goto80 & Ace of Base through Jellica

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Jellica, the bleep raver from the UK, is playing my song Ajvar Relish live and adding the vocals from Ace of Base’s song All That She Wants. Yeah, do you remember that hit from 1992 with that Swedish group with the nazi-past? Well, here is Jellica mixing it up live! Thanks for that. I guess. :)

Copyright sucks

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

Hey, public service radio P3! Next time you use my music in your stupid comedy programs, could you please give me credit for my work? Atleast when people e-mail you and ask who made the music. Ok? Ni e la för gooa, era svin.

And if rumours are true, that goes for MTV in Holland too. Varken. Looks like another jackpot for the über-organisations in the copyright/patent legal system, because I’m tired. Enjoy this instead:

Kembrew McLeod (academic intellectual property critic prankster)
Copyshop (“hey, can they really sell that?”)
Piratebay (“hey, can they really provide that?”)
Artliberated (liberate it now)
sCrAmBlEd?HaCkZ! (who’s got the copyright now, bitch?)
Polotalk (jossystem are my heroes in crime)

Holland Mini Tour

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

Ok, three shows in Holland in January, the week after Belgium. When arriving in Holland my suitcase was even more broke than before, and when soundchecking for the first show I noticed my laptop-screen had 1% light in it. So I had to use a tightly operated lamp to see the screen for the rest of the tour. Error flow! The first night was at Studio80, Amsterdam with DMG Plantlife, DJ Monza and the C-men. Good shit, and I especially liked the Gameboying my mister DMG. Very nice slow but pumpy experimental beats, live jammed and just very far from your standard Gameboy music. In Amsterdam I also went to see the Bodies exhibition, which was amazingly interesting! It was especially funny that they saved bellybottoms and asses. What wasn’t so funny, was that all the bodies were actually Chinese…

Rotterdam next! Poing and gabber and Clone! The venue, Worm, was a really nicely decorated place and the building went back hundreds of years and harbour hardcore massive commerce blabla. Also playing were DMG Plantlife, Jeroen Tel, Pornologic, dmdn and C-men. I also made a TV-interview this night. The DJ-set of dmdn was really great, doing one of the best 8-bittish hardcore sets I’ve heard live.

Next day it was off to Tilburg and 013, a huge venue where you could easily get lost and locked out and god knows what. I enjoyed the dancehall party next door, which was like stepping into another universe. Living on MTV!?

Belgium Mini Tour

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

Ait, so first up was Brussels on January 19th. The day before I bought a new suitcase to stop the airport people from destroying my gear in my crappy backpack, and I also got a new anti-funky haircut. Yes! I arrived at Mediaruimte to discover that the SID-chip in my C-64 was broken, again. So was the suitcase. So I did some LSDJ-improvisations instead, which was good enough I guess. M-.-n also played a nice set with LSDJ and his own GP32-tracker LittleGPTracker. Yeah, and I just missed the Touch exhibition by Lab[au], where you can pixel-animate a skyscraper. Check out the videos!

The day after I had a rally drive to Verviers and the Bubble’s Skate Park! It’s a small place but the two local acts were really fucking fresh. Lovely gameboy beats by Qwertypak and his MC’s (video) and crazy experimental didgeridoo + 2xC64 set by JMX. I also enjoyed the breakcore set by Adrenalien!

Copenhagen February 24

Friday, February 16th, 2007

As part of the Rump & Rumraket night I’m doing a show at Global in Copenhagen next Saturday. Also playing is Taxi Taxi! – two Swedish 17 year old indie poppers – and one of my favourites: Karsten Pflum! The same night Je Mappelle Mads & Bounty Niller will offer one of their mindexploding shows together with the sweet electronica-act Band Ane at Rust. So go to Copenhagen, ok?

TV-interviews

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

I made a (pretty stupid) interview for the dutch TV-channel Zooi, after my show in Rotterdam. It was aired on February 2 and you can check it out in real media. Then there was one in Spain in October last year aswell on Cuatrosfera, see the youtube-clip here. (my spanish is perfect!)
